My new NordicTrack S22i Studio Cycle from Best Buy is in the house, or should I say the basement! I’ve been waiting for what seems like forever. Actually, I had bought a Peloton on Cyber Monday and the very next day Best Buy asked Audrey if shed be interested in reviewing the NordicTrack S22i. We said yes and cancelled the Peloton.
I love spinning! Granted it’s been a few years, but before I got sick, I was taking 4 or 5 spin classes a week at the YMCA and was in the best shape of my life. I even bought a road bike and took it to the streets. I had a double bowel resection in 2011 and had a huge incision from my sternum down past my belly button, straight through my abs. A year later I had a second surgery to repair a hernia that developed on that incision from overdoing it. It’s been downhill since.
It’s time to get back into shape. The NordicTrack S22i is going to be a big part of that. I’m not a runner, especially now. I’m closer to 300 pounds than 250 and the treadmill isn’t in the cards right now. Spinning feels a lot easier on my body. Don’t get me wrong, I bring the pain while I’m on it. I set up the bike the other day and jumped on. It felt great to be back in the saddle.
What’s really cool about the NordicTrack S22i Studio Cycle is that it has a 22 inch monitor and I signed up for an iFit account which opens up a ton of workouts from studio spin classes to road courses around the world streaming right through the monitor and controlling the incline and resistance. When you’re riding up a mountain, you really feel like you’re riding up a mountain. I can’t wait to get to that point!
For now I’m happy getting my legs back in front of the furnace. Check back in for more details on the bike and if you want to learn more about the NordicTrack S22i Studio Cycle, click here.
